Diana Fort, BSc., MD, FRCPC

Clinical Educator Fellow

Dr. Diana Fort is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and a Clinical Educator Fellow at the Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES) within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Toronto, her MD at Queen’s University and her Emergency residency at the Los Angeles County + Southern California (LAC + USC) Medical Center and the University of Toronto. She works as an Emergency physician at Kelowna General Hospital. She is currently working on her Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) degree with the School of Health Professions Education at Maastricht University, supported by the UBC CHES team. Her current research focuses on gender equity in academic leadership in Medicine.

Diana is the Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Education for the UBC Southern Medical Program (SMP) as well as the SMP Portfolio Site Lead. She previously worked as the Kelowna Site Director for Undergraduate Medical Education. In 2017, she was awarded the UBC Department of Family Practice Postgraduate Teaching Award for the Okanagan South site.

Outside of work, her hobbies include yoga, hiking, skiing (especially cross-country), paddle-boarding, and reading novels.
